And I kept reading. Every time I thought I had a clue as to what the ending would be I was wrong. Not many authors keep me involved that deeply in the story line. Yes, there are some violent scenes where I wanted to say, "Please don't describe it any further", but it is what makes the plot work. The best gift Lisa Regan gives her readers is that she doesn't end too soon. Many mystery writers solve the crime and just when the reader wants to know what happens to the people involved, the door slams shut and the book ends. Not this author! I am looking forward to reading more books by Lisa Regan whether they include Jocelyn Rush and her colleagues or not.
